Rosin:

Rosin is a very popular type of concentrate, which was only really brought to the foreground of the industry in the last 10 years. A very simple process on the surface, rosin is a very clean product that I think feels and smokes the most like traditional extracts (like bubble or dry sift). Flower or isolated trichomes are placed into a type of filter bag or pack. This compressed bag or pack is then placed between parchment paper or another material to which extracts do not stick to easily, and it is placed into a machine called a press, which heats the trichomes to a specific temperature , generally under 210 degrees F. as the press squeezes the pack, cannabinoids and aromatic compounds are rendered (become liquid) and then are squeezed out of the filter bag, leaving solids and undesirables behind. The yields on extracts like this are generally very low, compared to a solvent extract, hence the higher prices you will see.
